Personal Life... Bev and I have made some personal life changes that should help us become even more effective in the work the Lord has called us to do. I don't believe I have ever written a newsletter that focuses on our personal life, but I wanted to share with you exactly what we are doing and about our goals for the future.
Sold our House... Nine years ago, while still on staff at Bethany World Prayer Center , we built a beautiful home in south Baton Rouge . When we moved to Sri Lanka , five years ago, we rented the house out for one year to a friend. Since that time, we've shared the home with our adult children, but now that they are married with families of their own the home, had become a bit of a hindrance. Though it's truly a dream home, Bev and I both felt that for the sake of the work we should let it go. It's a strange experience to have great joy in sacrificing your dream, but I can say with all honesty that we are filled with joy!
More Mobile... We are looking for a motor home and an office location that we can use while we are in the States. I plan to continue with our schedule of spending at least 50% of our time each year in Asia . But I have seen that our work is just as important in the States as it is overseas. Unless we keep freshly connected to those who stand with us in the work, we cannot move forward.
Goals... I believe the Lord has moved us up to another level of effectiveness in Church planting. There is so much work to be done, and the opportunities are endless. I want to open significant works in Bangladesh , East India, and Maldives, three areas of South Asia we have not yet begun to touch. And Pakistan remains an open door before us.
Thanks for standing with us in faith through this time of transition and for believing in the work of the Lord through us.
