This is the last in a series of newsletters focusing on the new work we are developing in Nepal . Bev and I will spend September through December in Nepalgunj, and will focus on doubling the scope of the work there. - Rick
Our plane landed at a small airport in Nepalgunj, just under a mile from the northern India border. As we made our way out of the airport, we were met by our guide for the weekend. Wearing a pair of sunglasses and sporting a goatee, he met us smiling from ear to ear. The entire weekend he never stopped smiling, even after three days of constant serving. I came to respect Pastor K .B. Basel after seeing the enthusiasm he exhibited toward the ministry.
Only a few years ago, his wife and two sons were living in a small, one room house. They sacrificed everything for the young church they had started, allowing the church to meet in their tiny home. Through faithful service to people and God, Pastor K B was blessed with a beautiful new house with plenty of room for his family. The church grew rapidly and multiplied. When we visited Pastor K B, he showed us the little room where they lived and worshiped. On the same property there is now a church that will seat 150, two houses, an elementary school, and a Bible school. The small church that was started has now multiplied to over fifty congregations spread throughout the western region of Nepal .
The vision in Nepalgunj is far from complete, however. There is more property to be purchased, more buildings to be built, more churches to plant, and more souls to harvest. Thank you for your continued support, and please pray for Pastor K B as we partner with him in the enormous task of evangelizing western Nepal. - Shane

This property will allow us to build a much needed 5,000 sq. ft. meeting hall that we can later add on to and will still leave room to expand the training center and school.
