Effective Leaders are Built with Strategic Purpose

Over the past 30 years of ministry, I have come to understand that establishing well prepared leaders is the most important thing we can do to expand the Kingdom of God on earth. In September and October I will be sponsoring two major leadership events in South Asia . Our model churches in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and in Nepalgunj, Nepal, have become centers for regional outreach and I want to help move our leadership base to a higher level of strategic influence.

Our first event will be in Colombo, Sri Lanka, with Pastor Dishan DeSilva, the young leader I have been mentoring over the past seven years. Dishan now has 30 churches under his supervision representing over 2,000 believers. We will be bringing the pastors of these village churches and their wives to Colombo for three days of training and leadership impartation.

The first week of October, we will hold a leadership conference in Nepal. We have 74 churches now with several new house churches ready to launch. We will be bringing in our leaders from all over west Nepal and I hope to have at least 2,000 pastors and home group leaders present. We will be holding an open-air meeting on our new property and are releasing our faith for revival in the city. To my knowledge, there has never been an open air event in Nepalgunj of this level.

As you know, I seldom make our financial needs known, but we do need a total of $15,000 for these two events. Anything you could do to help us this month would be greatly appreciated.
